Born in 1982 in Turkey, Sultan took the Guinness World Record title in 2009, when he was measured in at 8 ft 1 in


Sultan Kosen is among the ten persons in human history with a height of 8 ft or more


Sultan's height is caused by a condition known as "pituitary gigantism", which is result of over-production of growth hormone


Sultan's rest of his family, including his parents and four siblings, are all average size



As a teenager, Sultan Kosen was signed to a basketball team, but was too tall to play


Sultan also holds the record for largest hands on a living person



His each hand measures 28.5 cm from wrist to tip of middle finger


Sultan is also the cultural ambassador for Turkey
